God, we not eat. Amen.
Tonight we gave the prayer book to Matty to pray before our meal as usual, and we follow up with Drew saying a prayer also, since Matt's version of praying is a bit short! When Matt was little and just starting to talk, he would grab the prayers book and say "duh da da ba ga (and a lot of garbled speech sounds), done." Now he has graduated to "God, we not eat. Amen." ------ He really did and continues to. It has to come from all the times that I have told the kids not to eat while saying prayers. So for our own enjoyment, we keep asking Matty to say prayers for us nightly, and pray that he continues to say them that same special way.
