New desks location
Today is the first day I do not have to look at John's messy desk in the bedroom - wow. What a change! The bedroom is such a more pleasant place to be now! How great!! I thnk we didn't realize how nice it could be with it out of there. Yesterday we spent John's day off exchanging the locaiton of my desk and his. wow, the change! We should have taken before and afters. Drat! Now John can go play on the computer til all hours and not disturb me, or have to be kicked out of the bedroom so I can sleep. I do miss the space though for his has the nicest location – drop dead gorgeous views of the Sandia Mountains from the east and north, and west. This is going to work out soooo much better for us. My desk is just tiny in comparison. His desk had to be turned sideways to fit into the small nook at the top of the stairs, so the wooden sides of the desk hide from view any clutter. Aaahhhhh....peace and serenity!
Drew set his alarm for 4:56 in the AM so see the beginnng of the Olympic action. He promptly got himself back into bed though. He said the coverage was 'lame'. He is sounding like my dad! It seems each weekend now is a bit less stressed than the last, as our lives take some order getting more settled. Next up is purchasing some much needed blinds, of which this home has virtually none. There are some really interesting and handsome choices out there these days, so the choosing will be fun.
bye for now, Mary
