we were carpooling to school one spring am when matthew Heinstein was with us.  we noticed a smart car alongside us and i shouted out 'HCA, HCA'.  They shouted 'what is that? and I replied that it was a half car alert!  I call them half cars for they look like half a car!  Drew mentioned they are 'smart cars'.  matthew H asked what is so smart about it? and I replied that it doesn't use much gasoline and it doesn't cost a lot (I assume).    Then he replied in his six year old innocence 'Then why is it passing us if it doesn't use much gasoline?' and i thought, that is pretty smart for six!
